Welcome to Starburst Foundation Applications
The Starburst Foundation Applications Division is run entirely by unpaid local volunteers.
We are passionate about assisting local children with special needs, disabilities and life limiting conditions, to achieve their fullest potential day-to-day.
We assist children up to, and including, the age of 18 years old by funding items of equipment (often bespoke or specialist items e.g. adapted tricycles, mobile hoists, specialist buggies, sensory equipment, communication aids/apps etc). These can help improve quality of life, build self-esteem, improve confidence or assist with independence and have a positive impact on the child and family life.
We raise funds to support Applications in a variety of ways. For example our Annual Black-Tie Charity Ball, profits from front of house sales during Starburst Theatre performances, other events like Barn Dances and Quiz Nights and of course receipt of other generous donations from the local community.
